Does that make me a poker geek if every time i shave, i think of this scene in Rounders?
Online micro grinder since a few years, trying to climb up the stakes. I play mostly cash games, and also love playing live.
I played a hand online, today, maybe i'd take some advice. It is 16NL (008/016) sh I open T7s on the button, bb calls Flop comes 636r, goes check check (should i cbet here?) Turn is a 8 BB leads out for 048 in a 072 pot I call River is a 9, made my lucky straight... BB bets 1.28 into 1.68 I decided to value raise a little, i minraised... It probably is a fold if villain 3bets, isn't?? Well he 3bets to 5.92 (3.36 on top) I couldn't find a fold, thinking that making my straight is pretty much toward the top of my range here... But i guess villain never reraises without a boat heh?? (For info, he's a 24/12 over 26 hands) I suppose i should've flat his river bet(?!)
Just a little update, nothing impressive, but I went for a live session, first time in a year. 200NL, ended up losing $35, but doesn't matter, i was happy with my game, i was a bit affraid to be rusty at first, but i think i played good. Was down -120 at one point and i stayed calm and focused, and i managed to get back up to -35. I was on a schedule, so i couldn't play more than 2 hours, but, that session felt good, i really look foward for the next one (and i will not wait a year for it, lol)
been a little lucky here, but it makes me love poker again :D http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/19499513_2338D9863C
