Realisation that its not variance. Your just shit at online cash!!. ok, maybe a bit harsh on myself there. But spent the morning reviewing a good week and a bit of playing and trying to understand why I do really bad at weekends when I should be peaking. Its obvious to be fair and need to keep working on fixing the basics. I am running 1.45bb/100 overall. For Nov I need to clearly up my study time, and play without interruptions (No on laptop with kids about my feet). Still not getting as much time in as I would like, but its clear I have SO much to learn. Determined to make the most of the coaching session I had so working on that lesson plan still with even more discipline, want to be in a place a I am happy with before another session. Few self rules for Nov: No playing if I have not yet studied/reviewed my previous session. Play in the office only with reduced chance of interruptions. Re-watch all the basic cash game videos again and again and again. Here's to November! On the plus side, my live MTT game has improved no end. I don't get to play much, so may just be run good, but posting positive results when I play. Will be in Portsmouth later this month for the APAT leg held there, see if I can be a two time champion. GL me.
Father of two. Strive to improve and actually get good at this game we call Poker...as oppose to occasionally lucky ;)
So those who have paid attention to my posts, know that current life circumstances mean live poker and even most online MTTs are limited at best. So giving the micro cash games a real go from the ground up (tried and failed a few time before). This included getting a coach. I have to say what an eye opener it was -. thestudent not only points out leaks, but explains them with evidence and helps you put a plan in place while providing plenty of tools to help study. I must be a coaches nightmare, sat, listening barely saying a word, but that was no problem at all. I feel I have a clear direction to start improving my game. I am under no illusion this is going to take time to get right, but, imo, without a coach to help apply what you see in videos, read in articles etc it would take even longer. Enjoying the grind right now!
