I have another one from a tournament. Here we have a rather small poker community and daily tournaments usually gather anything between 20-40 people. So basically we all know each other, and some of the regulars have been known to dabble with crime, to say the least. So we get down to last few players, one of whom is a guy that plays every day and is pretty terrible, uber tight nit. However, he also has a long rap-sheet. So he plays his usual tight game and gets down to like 3 bigs and show on my big blind, I call with Q9 and he turns over pocket Queens. Long story short I river a straight to bust him. For the next couple of hours before I was able to win the whole thing, he is there sitting on the rail, threatening me to break my legs, shoot me and whatnot. Casino staff does nothing, of course. Although I knew it was mostly empty threats, it was not nice to hear it non-stop for two hours, while also trying to play winning poker.

PokerTube editor in chief and other more or less fun stuff. (Most of it is fun tho) Used to play a lot of poker, now I play when I have time
I was playing in the local 1/2 game and there is this huge fish who just plays any two for any amount of money basically. I pick up pocket Aces and limp in UTG. Somebody raises to 10, few calls and I make it 105, with about 130 behind. As expected everyone folds but the fish, who calls from the big blind. Flop comes K 3 5 and he jams. I snap call obv, turn is a 7 and river is an Ace from space. I am thinking to myself, finally I get lucky even if he drew out on me on the flop, when I hear laughter and the fish saying "straight". It takes me a moment to process the information as he turns over 24o. Not the worst bad beat in my life, but that ace on the river was pretty brutal.
