Crawling From The Dump!

Downswings more cruel than a tofu diet are spreading around TiltBook like bots in PokerStars PLO games! I looked into what the hell is going on in this week's recapitulation of our little site's best posts and came up with horrifying conclusions.

I feel a little bit guilty. Guilty for those who have to put up with all the 3-outer and 'KK into AA' shit everyday while I here celebrate all the winners. With the influence and impact my delicate words have on the world, I can totally see how downswings are not about the money anymore. It is the "dammit, haven't won anything again, so I won't be mentioned in the recap!" part that crushes the soul. For that I apologise and to compensate I am devoting this week's blog to all the terrible runners.

And with that, please stand up for a minute of silence, above all, for duklaak and his MTT efforts, nico0503's epic day in the $60 Spin n Go department and last but not least, wtfgmons week of the dreams:

Don't do anything stupid!

And I am not talking only about hurting yourself. In order to changes things up, many players tend to try a whole bunch of different "strategies" and ideas that usually have outcomes worse than holding a Neo-nazi Gay Convention. Mimicking seemingly brilliant plays from high stakes crushers is one of those kind of ideas and maXX nicely demonstrates how it can easily backfire:

"When you are trying to copy higher stakes players playstyle."

Your coach is here to help you instead!

Or listen to your parents!

As czeng proves, apparently, parents can actually offer tremendous poker-career advice from time to time! Who knew?? What is the advice your parents give you on poker? I am dying to find out in the comments, lol.

Of course, table select properly!

Dont Quit!

And since we had a number of great jokers in this post already, instead of the regular Joker of the Week thing I am gonna end this one with a classic motivational poem by Edgar A. Guest that was brought to my attention earlier today by icecoldhands. Thank you!

Wanna see yourself in here next week?

If you posted anything that is worth a place in the weekly recap and you want to make sure it will make it, send me (Scarmaker) a private message and I will check how delusional you actually are!

In the meantime, take care! :)
